Sydney Metro
Sydney Metro launch. DOOH motion and a hand-coded HTML5 banner suite — three treatments (Daylight, Sunrise, Station) across six sizes each. The starting point was a single flat, lifeless train still; animated into motion in After Effects and hand-coded in Sublime Text, the set carries the network's bright launch-day optimism from big-screen DOOH down to mobile.
Process
The starting point was a single flat still of the train — no footage, no motion assets. I rebuilt it into a moving scene in After Effects, separating layers and adding light and atmosphere until the network's launch-day optimism read at a glance. That one animation became the campaign's motion source of truth.
From there the system fanned out: three treatments — Daylight, Sunrise and Station — each hand-coded as HTML5 across six IAB sizes, eighteen builds in all, plus large-format DOOH motion. Hand-coding in a text editor rather than exporting from a tool kept every unit lightweight and on-spec, and kept the DOOH screens and the smallest mobile banner telling exactly the same story at wildly different scales.
